Fox trapping in winter 2022/23
The Governor has now opened for applications for fox trapping for the coming winter. The application deadline is 30 October 2022.

Fox trapping is reserved for permanent residents of Svalbard. There will be no opportunity to fur the foxes yourself this year, because the fox will be analysed by the Norwegian Polar Institute to map the distribution and occurrence of fur lice.
You apply for a trapping ground through Inatur via the link on the right hand side.
The application deadline is 30 October 2022.
The trapping period is 1 November 2022 to 15 March 2023.
