Apply digitally for a passenger carrying vehicle driver’s licence

From now on, you can apply digitally to get a passenger carrying vehicle driver’s licence in Longyearbyen.

The requirements for obtaining a passenger carrying vehicle driver’s licence are:

- Applicants must be at least 20 years old

- Applicants must have a valid driver's license

- Applicants must document good conduct

Foreign citizens who cannot document a longer period of residence on Svalbard or the mainland must submit a certificate of good conduct from their home country.

The passenger carrying vehicle driver’s licence is issued for a duration of five years and is valid for Longyearbyen.
