Extends temporary recognition of foreign driving licences
The Governor has decided to extend the temporary recognition of foreign driving licenses for class B on Svalbard until 31 March 2024.

Pending a hearing on a change in the regulations on the road traffic act in Svalbard, for which the Norwegian Road Administration is responsible, the Governor has decided that a driver's license that gives the right to drive a passenger car/class B, and is issued in a country that has joined the Geneva Convention of 1949 or Vienna- the 1968 convention on road traffic is recognized temporarily on Svalbard until 31 March 2024.
The driver's license must be valid in the issuing country.
Driving license for passenger car/class B also gives driving license for class S/snowmobile.
