Maintains the travel ban on the upper side of Road 100
The Governor has decided to maintain the travel ban on the upper side of Road 100 until further notice.

The Governor has had a meeting with NGI and Longyearbyen Local Council about the avalanche danger today. Based on advice from NGI, it has been decided to maintain the travel ban on the east side (upper side) of Road 100 until further notice.
The Governor and the Local Council will continue to monitor the situation in collaboration with NGI and will make a new assessment by 12:00 noon Friday 7 April.
NGI is interested in observations of avalanches in the terrain. You can register observations in the app Regobs. If you do not have Regobs, information about observed avalanches can be reported to NGI: skredvarsling@ngi.no or tel. 99 30 30 00.
