Lifts the evacuation in Nybyen
Based on advice from Skred AS and the weather forecast, the Governor lifts the evacuation and the residence and traffic ban ban with immediate effect. The road from Longyearbyen skole to Nybyen will also be opened.

The Governor had a new assessment of the situation at 14.00 today together with Skred AS and Longyearbyen local council.
There is still a significant risk of avalanches in the terrain. The Governor asks people who are on a trip to take their precautions and not travel in areas with risk of avalanches. Follow www.varsom.no
